Academic Coaching Open House

On Thursday, March 11, Amy hosted the Grand Opening of Academic Coaching Services in her new digs at 18 S Lake St, Grayslake, IL. More than 70 students and their family members, area education and business professionals, and friends stopped in to network with Amy in her office, freshly painted in motivating hues, carpeted for warmth, and decked out with all the important and fun tools that she uses to help students succeed.

Amy would like to thank everyone who helped to furnish the office, cater and prepare for the open house, and generally support her work in helping students develop "strategies for success."

This is one of the premier online writing labs. Type a topic of concern into their search area and away you go! You’ll find great info on everything from using transitions to citing sources.

LDonline offers a great variety of information on learning disabilities for children and adolescents. The articles are written so the average person can understand them. This is a great resource.
www.chadd.org
A long-time go-to site for children and adults with ADHD. Look here for great information on conferences and ways to get tied in to national organizations. This is also the place to subscribe to Attention magazine.

This site is specifically designed for adults with ADHD. I especially like it for its special section devoted to women.
www.wrightslaw.com
This is one of the sites I go to if I have any questions about special education law. Wrightslaw does regular workshops that are helpful to parents and educators alike.
